Ledzokuku constituents calls out MP after Bernard Okoe Boye commissions new astroturf
3 min readLedzokuku celebrated the commissioning of the new MacDan astroturf built in the Ledzokuku constituency led by the Vice President and NPP parliamentary candidate Hon. Oko Boye on Saturday 30th September 2023.
During the commissioning of project, the Chief of Teshie could not hold his joy as he openly embraced the ‘Sankofa’ movement, a tacit admission of his desire to bring back Dr. Okoe Boye whose vision is premised on Development and Jobs to represent the constituency in the next Parliament come 2025. Since the establishment of Teshie, some 200 years ago, the community has been deprived of many developments, until Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye was introduced in the constituency. He has since served as a catalyst for development.
This project has generated a lot of conversations leading to speculations that the vice president was hooted at during his visit to the constituency. Samuel Adjei Adjetey, who is the leader for Teshie Concern Youth for Development has debunked those rumors and calls out the MP who has denounced the constituency.
According to him, the NDC led by their constituency chairman together with the sleeping MP, Benjamin Ayiku Narteh, instead of working towards the development of Ledzokuku is rather interested in ridiculing huge developments that have come to the constituency led by the former MP, Dr. Okoe Boye together with the able MCE.
“Teshie is a community that has over 400,000 residents and over 100 undeveloped football pitches. Our MP, Hon. Ayiku is not only sleeping but also does not stay in the constituency. He relies on WhatsApp pictures and videos sent from Teshie to him far away in Dome-Kwabenya where he stays with his family, to know the happenings in the constituency.
Whenever successes are being celebrated, the MP, Hon. Benjamin Ayiku Narteh and the leadership of the NDC pay and bus hoodlums from neighbouring towns to misbehave. Encouraging misbehaviour and propagated lies is the hallmark of a leader the community lags. It is our prayer that, never again, will we the people of Ledzokuku make such a hulking mistake to sell our coloured TV for an old rickety black and white TV”.
In conclusion , he added that, “the people of Ledzokuku celebrated the commissioning of the Teshie Sports Complex which was facilitated by Dr. Okoe Boye and would commend H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and Dr. Bawumia administration for the inspiration that has led to over 150 Artificial football pitches across Ghana. I dove our hearts out to all those who were present, especially Chiefs and Elders of Teshie, The Sports Minister, The Greater Accra Regional Minister, the MCE, Regional Executives and the good people of Teshie.
Ledzokuku will rise again with a leader who is more focused on development and creating job opportunities for the youth”.
