Three potential names have emerged for the position of speaker of Parliament for the 9th Parliament.
1. Alban Bagbin – The current Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, is widely respected for his leadership over the last four years. There is a high possibility that Alban Bagbin will contest for the position once again. He is also the favorite to win.
2. Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus) – Popularly known as A Plus, Kwame Asare Obeng has been mentioned as a candidate for the position of Second Deputy Speaker. A Plus is known for his activism and outspoken views on governance and corruption.
