“Shame on you” – Nana Aba Anamoah blast GFA for only investing in player’s look and not infrastructure

2 min read

Astute media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has called on the Ghana football association to invest in infrastructure instead of focusing on the looks of the players by investing in beautiful outfits.

The Blackstars lost their opening AFCON match to Cape Verde in a very disappointing manner. The players looked confused on the pitch during the game in Ivory Coast. According to statistics, Ghana has won only one game in their last 10 AFCON matches.

Ghana’s abysmal performance raises concern despite having a lot of talented players. The country’s woes continues from where they ended in the last AFCON where they lost 3-2 to Comoros in their final group game.

According to Nabila of Joy sports, GFA paid $7.9 million to the government as World Cup money after FIFA stated that the amount is $9 million. GFA has also received proceeds from the previous AFCON they participated in but where is the money?

In a tweet on X by Nana Aba,

You @ghanafaofficial should make infrastructure, sensible development decisions, execution & trophies a priority.

No one cares about how players look in whatever outfits they show up in.

They’re footballers and not models for Paris Fashion Week.

Shame @ghanafaofficial
